So, you must restart your PC, and then check whether the problem is still there or not. If it is there, then you need to apply another procedure to get rid of this error.

Procedure 1 – Disable the Windows Firewall Feature

This is one of the reliable procedures that we have shared to fix this error code on your PC is by disabling the Windows Firewall feature. Due to the Windows Firewall feature, you can see this error message on the system’s screen. So, you need to turn it Off to fix this issue. To disable it follow the steps:

Step 1

At first, you need to press the Windows button and R key together to launch the Run box. In the Run box, you can type ‘services.msc’, and then press the Enter key or click on the OK button.

Step 2

When the Services window opens, you need to scroll down on that page and find the Firewall, right click on it to open the list. From that list, you can select the Properties option. Step 2

When the Control Panel window opens, you need to take the mouse to the ‘Programs and Features’ section, double-click on it. In the ‘Programs and Features’ tab, you can find the Security software, right click on it. After that, you can select the Uninstall option to delete this from the system.

Procedure 3 – Restart the WLAN AutoConfig Services

The error 1068 can occur if the AutoConfig Wi-Fi service on your computer is not properly configured. In this case, you have to restart the service to resolve this problem on your computer. To complete this procedure follow the steps:

Firstly, you need to open the Run box by pressing the Windows button and R key together. In the Run window, type ‘services.msc’, and then click on the OK button or press the Enter key from the keyword.

Step 2

In the Services window, you will locate the WLAN AutoConfig, right click on it to open the list. You can select the Restart option to start the services.

Step 3

Next, you can right-click on the WLAN AutoConfig to launch the list and then click on the Properties button. In that section, you need to set the Startup Type to Automatic option. After that, you can select the Apply option, and then click on the OK option. After going through these steps, you should restart your PC, and then check if the error code is eliminated or not.

Procedure 4 – Repair the Registry

If the Windows files are corrupted or damaged, then you can see the error 1068 on the system. To do the repair process, follow the directions which are mentioned below:

Step 1

In the beginning, you should hold down the Windows button and R key to open the Run box. Type ‘Regedit’ in the Run box, and then press the Enter button or click on the OK button. Alternatively, you can go to the Search box, type ‘Registry Editor’, and then hit the Enter button.

Step 2

In the Registry Editor window, you need to navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, and then go to the SYSTEM section. From that System tab, you can select the CurrentControlSet, and then click on the Services from the left side panel.

Step 3

When the Services section opens, you can find the DHCP, right click on it. After that, you can see an option Export, select it. Then, enter a name for the backup file is DHCP backup. Then, you can choose the backup file address and click on the Save option.

Step 4

In the Dscp window, you can double click on the DependOnService, from the right side of the page. After that, you can select all the Except Afd, and then click on the Delete button.

Step 5

Next, from the left side panel, you can right-click on Eaphost, and then select the Export option. Then, put a name for the file as Eaphost backup. Then, you have to select the backup file address and click on the Save button.

Step 6

On the right side panel, you have to double-click on the DependOnService, and then delete all the value data. After doing this, you can close the Registry Editor window, and then reboot the system.

Procedure 5 – Update the Network Adapter Driver

An outdated the network adapter driver can also cause the error 1068 on the system. So, you have to update the driver immediately to resolve this problem. Follow these steps which are cited below:

Step 1

You should press the Windows button and R key to launch the Run dialogue box. In the Run box, type ‘Device Manager’, and then hit the Enter button or click on the OK button. Alternatively, you can right-click on the Start button to launch the WinX Menu list. From that list, you can select the Device Manager application.

Step 2

In the Device Manager window, you can go to the Network Adapter driver from the left side panel. Right-click on the Driver, and then select the Update Software Driver option to update the driver. Once the process is done, you need to reboot your computer, and then check if the Windows system works perfectly without showing the error 1068.

Procedure 6 – Start all the Dependent Services

Firstly, you can press the Windows + X buttons together to open the Menu list, and then select the Control Panel application. Alternatively, you can type ‘Control Panel’ in the Search box, and then press the Enter key.

Step 2

Now, you can see all the Control Panel items window will open. In the Control Panel window, you need to double-click on the Troubleshooting section. From that tab, you can click on the ‘Network and Internet’ section to open the list. In that list, you can click on the Internet Connections. After that, you can select the Advanced button, and then click on the ‘Run as administrator’ to run the troubleshooter. After doing this, you can see an option Next, click on it.
