  • Go to Start and type device manager within the search bar. Once it appears, choose it from the search results that appear.
  • Choose the category of Network Drivers and expand it eventually. 
  • Right-click on the driver and select the Update Driver option. Next, select Search automatically for updated driver software. In doing so, Windows will look for the new driver and update it for you.

  • At first, Go to Start and type cmd within its search bar. Select Command Prompt from the search result and then run it as an administrator.
  • Once a User Account Control prompt appears on your screen, click on Yes.
  • Type the commands listed below and make sure to press the Enter button after each line

netsh winsock reset catalog

netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

  • Restart your system and check if the issue is resolved or not.

  • Invoke the Run window by pressing both the Windows and R keys together.
  • Within it, type “services.msc” and hit the Enter button. This will open the Services window for you.
  • Move down to find IP Helper service and right-click on it. After that, click on Properties.
  • Make sure the Startup Type is selected as “Disabled” and then click on Ok.
  • Go back to the Services window and right-click on IP Helper service. Click on Stop.
  • Lastly, close the Services window and check if the problem resolves or not.

  • Go to Internet Connections and click on the Run the Troubleshooter option. This will start the troubleshooter which will find and fix the problems with Internet Connection for you.
  • Once it completes, check if the issue is resolved or not.

  • Once a pop-up window appears on your screen, double-click on Network Adapter and go to its Properties. Click on Configure.
  • Again, go to the Advanced tab and click on HT Mode. Click on the Ok button.
  • Restart your system and check if the problem resolves.

  • Within the Run window, type “ appwiz.cpl ” and then press the Enter button.
  • Select the antivirus programs and right-click on it. Click on uninstall from the appearing list.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to successfully complete the uninstallation process.

  • Now, wait for some time until you see the “Winsock reset completed successfully” message on your screen.

Solution 8: Use Microsoft NetShell Utility to reset IP settings

Besides, you can also use the Microsoft NetShell Utility tool to reset the IP settings. Here are the steps by which you should be able to do so.

  • Download the “NetShell IP Reset Utility” from their official website.
  • Once it gets downloaded successfully, run it and then click on Next.
  • This will make a restore point and reset the IP settings for you as well.
  • Click on Next to restart your system.

  • Within that, type “ncpa.cpl” and press the Enter button. This will open the Network connection window for you.
  • Select your connection and right-click on it. Once the list appears, click on Properties.
  • Go to the Networking tab and look for “Internet Protocol Version 6”. Unmark the box and click on Ok. Restart your system and check if the problem resolves or not.
