When you start your device, the BIOS verifies the hardware. This process is known as the Power On Self Test or merely POST. It then checks the master boot record of the Hard disk. This results in the loading of an important file called WINLOAD.EXE. NT kernel which is called the heart of Windows then begins to get loaded as NTOSKRNL.EXE.

The Windows 10 Operating System, then initializes your hardware devices such as the mouse, keyboard and user profile. If you see the Windows Boot Manager black screen and the error status 0xc000065 with Info: A component of the operating system has expired, it means there is a problem with WINLOAD.EXE.

Windows Safe Mode

You can solve the issue by entering Safe Mode in Windows. This is one of the most effective ways to address your concern. You can carry out this task by applying two methods.

Firstly, you can go to safe mode from Windows Recovery. Restart your system and enter Safe Mode by interrupting the boot process. Under the Choose an option recovery Window, click Troubleshoot and then search for Advanced Options. Click on Advanced options and then choose Startup Settings. From here you can quickly boot your system into the safe mode either with networking or without it.

Secondly, you can use a Windows Recovery drive to boot your system in the Safe Mode. In the Control Panel, you can Create a recovery drive. After that, you can boot your system in Safe Mode only if you have kept the USB drives as bootable from the POST option switched on. Now, you need to enter the disc into your computer and restart your computer.

Check Your Battery

As mentioned above, this type of error can also occur because of external peripherals, so check your battery. Battery problems are not to be neglected if you are facing booting errors. Remove the battery and connect your machine with a power source.

Disable Fast Boot

In the BIOS setting, there is a setting called Fast Boot. This feature helps the Windows Operating System to boot itself very quickly. This feature is present only in Windows 8 and the Windows 10.

Plug Out All Your USB Devices

This problem can also be solved by unplugging all the USB devices. Sometimes the USB devices may come in conflict with the Windows boot. This process may solve your problem. After you remove all the USB devices, you must restart your computer.

Scan Your Machine For A Malware

Check for a computer virus or trojan in your device. If found then remove it as soon as possible. Use a bootable USB with an antivirus present in it and execute it.

Boot To Command Prompt

There may be a possibility to boot your system into the Command Prompt if it is not booting correctly. This will increase the ability of the Command Prompt. This procedure can fix your problem more efficiently than others. You need a bootable USB to carry out the task.

Enter into the BIOS Window and navigate to the Boot tab. Under the Boot tab, select Boot Device Priority. You have to enter the language and time zone. Then choose to Repair your Computer and then go to Advanced Options under Troubleshoot. Here you shall find the option Command Prompt.

Use Startup Repair

Similar to the above process, you can also choose to go for either system restore or Startup Repair on the Advanced Options tab. System Restore means to send your system back to a point when it was working fine. System Repair is to let the system troubleshoot the problem itself.
