How To Fix Computer Randomly Restarts Error

If your computer randomly restarts that means Windows 10 has automatically restarted your device to fix some Blue Screen of Death error.

Solution 1- Change the Advanced Power Settings

To fix the problem you need to primarily change the power settings. For that, follow the given steps.

  • First, press and hold the Windows and S keys together. After that, enter the ‘Power option’ in the Search field. From the list of results, click on the Power Options. 
  • Under the Power Options window, locate your plan and click on the ‘Change plan settings’ button. 
  • It will open a new page. Under this section, scroll down and select the ‘Change Advanced Power Settings’ option. 
  • On the next page, drop down and find out the Processor Power Management option.

Now, the Minimum Processor State option will occur on the display. You need to set the value to 100.

Also, change the Minimum State Processor state to some other value. For example 0.

Tap on OK to save the changes.

Solution 2- Ensure that the Sleep Mode is Enabled

To set the Sleep Mode in the Enable condition, first, open the Power option. Then, locate your current plan and after that, click on the ‘Change power settings’ button.

First, press the Windows and R keys together on the keyboard to launch the dialog box. Then, type ‘msinfo32’ in the Run field and press the Enter key to open the System Information.

Within the System Information window, find the BIOS version/Date. After that, take note of the manufacturer as well as the BIOS version.

Now, navigate to the manufacturer’s official website and enter your computer’s serial number. Alternatively, you may click on the auto-detection option.

From the list of drivers, click on the BIOS and download the recommended version. Once the downloading process is finished, simply double-click on the Exe file to run it.
